The sports store Sport Renoth is located directly at the valley station of the Jennerbahn. As experts in all things outdoor, the range includes both well-known and unusual brands.
The rental service includes e-bikes, via ferrata sets and child carriers and can also be booked online.
The summer equipment rental is open daily from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Frequently asked questions about summer equipment rental

E-bikes can only be rented at the store in the Jennerbahn valley station. All other equipment can be rented both at the Jennerbahn and at the store at Triftplatz 1 in Berchtesgaden.

The desired period can be reserved either via the online platform or directly on site in the branches at Triftplatz or Jenner. Reservations by telephone are only possible for same-day rentals.
Reservations are only accepted with advance payment. The reservation can be canceled free of charge until 12 noon on the day before the first rental day. Please contact the staff in the branches by telephone or email. Deposits already paid will be refunded to you without complaint if the cancellation deadline is met.
The equipment can be collected and returned within the opening hours of the stores.
E-bikes can be picked up from 8 am and must be returned to the Jennerbahn valley station store by 5 pm at the latest.
At the Jennerbahn valley station: There are parking spaces directly in front of the store, but these can only be used free of charge for max. 2 hours free of charge.
For longer parking periods, we recommend parking at the large Königssee parking lot, which is approx. 300 meters from the store.
At the Triftplatz Berchtesgaden: Here you can also park directly in front of the store for max. 2 hours free of charge.

Renting equipment over a longer period of time is generally not a problem, and it is up to you whether you store the equipment overnight in your own home or leave it in the store.
If you leave the eBike with you overnight, you will be provided with a charger. If you cannot plug the bike in directly, you will also receive the necessary battery key. However, it is recommended that you charge the bike directly, as removing the battery can be somewhat complicated and time-consuming.
It should also be noted that the e-bike must be serviced every third day. This ensures that the bike is fully functional even under heavy use. This check usually takes 10 minutes and can of course be combined with a tour.

The equipment can also be collected the evening before (5-6 p.m.) at no extra charge. It is also possible to bring it back the next morning when the store opens.
Please contact the branch by telephone so that a smooth process can be guaranteed.
With e-bikes, however, it cannot be guaranteed that the battery is 100% charged. It is possible to return the bike the next morning (8 a.m.), but the bike must be “ready for use”, i.e. the e-bike must be fully charged and cleaned.

The child must always be able to sit upright independently. The maximum permissible body weight is 22 kg.
The via ferrata sets comply with the applicable standard and are permitted for a body weight of 50 – 120 kg.
The correct size of e-bike depends on your height. An approximate classification by height is as follows:

Size smaller than 155 cm ► Kid’s Bike
155 – 165 cm ► Size S
165 – 175 cm ► Size M
175 – 185 cm ► Size L
larger than 185 cm ► Size XL

If you are exactly in the middle of two sizes, you can freely choose the frame size. A smaller frame size is recommended for a sportier and more agile fit. The larger frame size, on the other hand, is suitable for more leisurely tours.
If your frame size is not available at the desired time, it is also possible to select the next size as long as your height does not deviate more than 7 cm from the specified size range.

The child trailer offers space for two children who together must not weigh more than 45 kg. As a minimum requirement, the child must be able to sit safely and independently.
