The Krautkaserhang has been home to the German national ski team for over 50 years.
With its steep descents, but also flatter passages, the terrain on the Krautkaser has always met the training standards for World Cup races.
Racers from school children to top athletes use the DSV training base “Krautkaser” on the Jenner.

The perfect location

The proximity between the CJD Christophorus Schools Berchtesgaden – the “Elite School of Sport” – and the training grounds at Krautkaser are a major advantage for young athletes.
Ski legend Maria Höfl-Riesch also went to school here.
Short distances and good organization as well as a scenic, liveable environment in the Alpine region make the DSV training center in Berchtesgaden one of the most important national bases in Germany.

The perfect terrain

The Krautkaserhang offers perfect training conditions for various disciplines in alpine skiing.
Slalom and giant slalom in particular are practiced here, but athletes can also put elements of super-G to the test on the Jenner.
During the winter season, the training area is also occasionally transformed into a competition venue: from school cups to FIS and European Cup races are held on the Krautkaserhang.
